I love this band so so much! and this song is just so gorgeous (on the Behave Yourself EP, which is one of the most stunning EP'S ever). Couldn't find a non live video of it so in form of a tribute I made one for it. The raw video is from a film i found on youtube - 🤍 It syncs itself with the song really well apart from being a lovely video in itself. Didn't have to do much editing even :) Hope it works..
I made this small coffee spoon using mostly power tools from an old tree limb laying outside my shop. The limb is from a live oak tree and had a considerable amount of spalting, almost to the point where the wood was unusable. There were a few soft spots where the wood had decayed on the spoon bowl. You'll notice in a few shots that a small section of the spoon bowl actually broke off because of the softness. The wood itself was not as attractive as I hoped it to be, but certainly unique in figure and color. Just a small and simple coffee scoop. It was made from some oak fire wood. I had a set of rotary rasps that I wanted to try out. They worked fine, but the wood was very hard. I also found a knot when making the scoop, wich added to charater... and time and frustration. Still fun! I first drilled a 35 mm hole with a forstner bit. About the depth of the bit head itself. I then used a round rasp and rounded the inside and removed the center hole (from the forstner bit). I then rough cut the shape on the band saw. As you can see in the footage I had a hook shape on the end of the handle. This is for when I later sand and process the piece I can have a better grip with my hand and with the clamps. Near the end I cut away that hook. I then used the cylinder and cone shaped rasp to shape the scoop. The final shape was sanded using my make shift disk sander (drill with a rotary sanding disk clamped to my work table). Thanks for watching! Please like, share and subscribe! Make this wooden spoon to measure out coffee grounds to make your coffee. See how you can start with some firewood and turn it into an elegant spoon without special carving knives. I make this spoon with hand tools, but the video is really about figuring out how to use your existing tools to make this spoon. You can remove material using a common saw and rasp to shape the outside. To make the spoon bowl section you can use a cheap carving chisel. 🤍 Stuff for Craftspeople T-shirt Store: 🤍 Maker Channel Subscribe: 🤍 Twitter: 🤍 facebook: 🤍 Instagram: 🤍 Pinterest: 🤍 Music: Foria - Break Away [NCS Release] - 🤍 Foria • 🤍 • 🤍 • 🤍 • 🤍 Paw by rupa c from the Noun Project For business inquiries: 🤍
In this video, I'll show you how to carve a coffee scoop out of a 2in by 2in by 7in block of Butternut wood. I'm using the S14 Spoon Carving Kit made by BeaverCraft. I was not paid to do this video, but Beaver Craft did provide the tools. Check out links below. Don't forget to like and subscribe! Links to BeaverCraft Tools (Affiliate Links): 🤍 Source of Butternut: Woodcraft Store Butternut is a soft wood to carve, but I chose it over basswood because of it's beautiful grain pattern. I have also carve coffee scoops out of cherry and walnut, but they are harder woods. Don'f forget safety - get some carving gloves and/or the tape. Finish: I used Flaxseed oil, but you could also use mineral oil or other food-safe finishes. You can find Flaxseed oil at most health food stores. Thank you BeaverCraft and really enjoyed using the knife set. Please pray for the people of BeaverCraft as they are based in Ukraine.
I started carving spoons this winter, mostly from tree branches found in parks. I don't have a carving axe or band saw, much less the living situation to use one, so I've experimented with different carving methods on the past few spoons. I found that a chisel, pocket knife. hook knife and sandpaper give pretty good results. The wood for this one comes from a fallen cherry tree. I really like the look of carved cherry, especially compared to the relatively bland maple that I have been carving. I wanted to try kolrosing on this coffee scoop, so I made a kolrosing knife from an old drill bit for the occasion. It works quite well, and I'd love to try a more intricate design on the next one. I used fine coffee grounds as a pigment. 🤍

The mix of cold milk and the ambivalent espresso is basically a match made in paradise. What's more, best of all, you can make it with no machines at all! – all you need is some arm muscle and tolerance. Dalgona Coffee is the recent thing in Korea – particularly in these days. Most of us are at home and killing time. Why Dalgona Coffee?? The nice and sweet taste of the coffee froth has is fundamentally the same as Dalgona. Dalgona is a Korean sweets made with liquefied sugar and pinch of baking soda. I believe it's an ideal beverage for individuals who miss going to cafés and furthermore who have some additional time on their hands. So, I made this in about 10 minutes using just a spoon. My friend asked me to make a flour scoop, so I decided to carve it out of a piece of walnut I had. I mostly used hand tools but I removed most of the carved out section of the scoop with a forstner bit in the drill press before carving the rest out with a pfeil 7-40 gouge before scraping with a scraper I rounded over to scrape concave surfaces. I cut the shape of the scoop out with a bandsaw (I accidently didn't film that sorry) and then taped the cutoffs back onto the handle of the scoop so I could cut away the side profile too. I cut the facets of the outside of the scoop away with a handsaw and then shaped the back and the handle with a spokeshave and chisels. I finished it with a couple of coats of Tung oil and then a beeswax mineral oil blend. I was experimenting with filming and editing slightly differently so hopefully you enjoyed this style of video
