Cheese is so addicting but so fattening. This cheesy cashew cream is a healtheir substitute for recipes that might ask for cream. I add this cashew cream to our veggie chili, to our Ezekiel bread pizza, my penne pasta with marinara and with my corn tortilla chips and salsa. You could also pit this in a yummy veggie lasagna! I found this recipe years ago from Hacres.com when we were eating raw vegan. I have kept and saved it for all these years. When transitioning from dairy cheese/cream this recipe is a good one. However, cashews are calorically dense this does not make it fat free, meaning if you are truly wanting to lose weight and keeo it off, it is best avoid nuts and seeds. It wasn’t until I completely got rid of the calorically dense foods like peanut butter cashew cream, bread, chocolate, and all animal products when the weight fell off me and my skin really cleared up. Let me know what you try putting it in😃 Ingredients 1 cup raw unsalted cashews 1 cup boiling hot water 1 Tablespoon Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon Apple cider vinegar 1 Teaspoon Nutritional Yeast ( optional for cheesy flavor) Soak cashews in hot water for 15 minutes.
