I appreciate you putting 6 as your favorite. Personally it’s hard for me, so I default to Ishin, but the only other person I know personally who puts 6 as their favorite is my closet friend. 6 really needs more love in the fan base lol... Great review as always!

think kiwami 2 is a better game than 6 content wise 6 felt a tiny bit rushed but i doubt the emotion of 6's plot will be topped here but neither can match majima fixing the watch at the end of 0 that was the peak of the entire series for me

Been working on Yakzua Kiwami 2 for a bit, but so far I agree it's better than Kiwami... it doesn't have the gravity of 6 though. I think the critical difference is that Kiwami 2 is still very much the middle of Kazuma's story but Yakuza 6 really works on tying it all up and completing the series. Still one of my favorite series of all time.

Personally I would say "yes" in regards to Kiwami 2 being better than 6. At least gameplay-wise. Yakuza 6 had a bit of teething problems here and there in my opinion, much like with ANY new engine. A common scenario. It didn't feel very Yakuza-y at times, most notably in the fighting engine with a lot of old series moves being omitted. (For example, the ability to attack floored enemies with a Heat move.) So Kiryu didn't feel nearly as versatile as he should.
Kiwami 2 from what little I've played feels more fleshed out and refined by far. By a large amount.
